The COVID-19 test is free, and you do not need insurance for the test. If you need medical care but don’t have health insurance, the Minnesota Department of Health offers resources to find low-cost health care or health insurance: https://www.health.state.mn.us/.../materials/lowcost.html

Windom Seniors: Year-Round Assistance

Assistance is available for seniors struggling to keep up their homes throughout the year.

 

What Services are available

 

  • Handyman

  • Housekeeping

  • Outdoor (seasonal raking)

 

Who Provides the Services?

 

Senior Community Services (nonprofit organization)

Senior Community Services' network of skilled workers and volunteers provide indoor and outdoor chore services. Workers are pre-screened to ensure that seniors can feel safe and confident about the services they receive.

 

How Much Does It Cost?

 

Through their strategic partnerships HOME is able to offer services on a sliding fee scale that is based on ability to pay. Some chores are provided at no cost by volunteers.
